And the scents of summer are fading in the wind
As the rain of November washes away my pain
For some bright and cool winter days

That year, the winter was kind like May
And the vernal colors never blossomed again
So we waited for summer, we waited in vain
Till the sky forever turned to gray

On these calm and warm and peaceful day
We were in the eye of the storm
As the seasons slowly disappeared 
We tried making sense of it all

Now it doesn't rain anymore but acid galore
The warnings were ignored, what for, what for?

Here once a river, now dried to clay
Where leas of flowers, to dust have decayed
Watch the legacy of our Mother we have betrayed
Now hot like a furnace are winter days
